Let's stop pretending life is only about success at work.

Your work is important. But it won't sustain you without rooted spirituality, harmony at home, real friends, and healthy practices.

Scott Sauls with his wife, daughters, and son in law

Hello, my name is Scott. I used to feel stressed and lonely as a leader. Now I support leaders and create communities because stressed and lonely doesn't work.

I am a follower of Christ, a thankful husband, and a proud dad and father-in-law. I have also spent decades supporting others as a pastor, author, speaker, board member and chair, master’s level instructor, backstage chaplain, and mentor/confidant to leaders. I also co-founded a faith and work institute that helps professionals think well, live with integrity, and contribute meaningfully.

I have started new congregations and led large, flagship churches for almost 30 years. Now, I invest that same energy into an intimate, focused few leaders and creators.

My core strengths are writing, teaching, and helping leaders and creators navigate the struggles and hopes that are unique to them. But my primary, counterintuitive strength is that I am a recovering overachiever. Many of my own highs and lows have been intertwined with approval seeking, anxious ambition, and excessive drive. Part of my mission is helping others avoid pitfalls as they pursue God's best for themselves and the people around them.

Gov. Bill Haslam

“Scott pulled together a group of us who were all in leadership positions. That group became one of my primary foundations and support during my time in office and the eight of us, including Scott, experienced a lot of life’s joys and heartaches together.

Joni Eareckson Tada

“My friend Scott Sauls knows a lot about leading people up and out of miry pits. It's because he has been in that pit.

Darren Whitehead

“Scott possesses a remarkable blend of intellectual depth and spiritual insight. He leads with humility and integrity, prioritizing the well-being and growth of others. He also has a unique talent for identifying and nurturing the gifts of others. Scott is a leader that other leaders want to follow.”

Annie F. Downs

“Wanting to be culture shapers requires effort and focus and Scott pastors others toward that end. I'm grateful for Scott's voice in my life and in our culture.
