Succeeding on the outside but unsettled on the inside?

Through peaks and valleys I've found that faith, connection, integrity, and good work are the real ingredients for contentment and flourishing. I support leaders and create leader communities because a better, healthier success is possible.

Hello! My name is Scott.

I am a follower of Christ, thankful husband, and proud dad and father-in-law. I have also spent decades supporting others as a pastor, author, speaker, board chair, master’s level instructor, backstage chaplain, and confidant to leaders. I also co-founded a faith and work institute that helps professionals think well, live with integrity, and contribute meaningfully.

I have been involved with starting new congregations and leading large, flagship churches for almost 30 years. Now my work is mostly behind the scenes as I invest that same energy into a smaller, focused few.

My key strengths include teaching, writing, advocating for the weak, and helping leaders and influencers navigate their unique challenges and hopes. However, my most significant asset is my journey as a recovering overachiever. Many of my own highs and lows have been intertwined with approval seeking, anxious ambition, and excessive drive. I've learned some valuable lessons, and am dedicated to passing them on to leaders who value faith, connection, integrity, and good work on their way to a better, healthier success.

Dr. Chip Dodd

“Scott is a man of outstanding character, good at home, married successfully with a wife and children who love, trust, and feel safe with him. Scott is caring towards others, and a lover of Jesus.

Joni Eareckson Tada

“My friend Scott Sauls knows a lot about leading people up and out of miry pits. It's because he has been in that pit.

Gov. Bill Haslam

“Scott pulled together a group of us who were all in leadership positions. That group became one of my primary foundations and support during my time in office and the eight of us, including Scott, experienced a lot of life’s joys and heartaches together.

Annie F. Downs

“Wanting to be culture shapers requires effort and focus and Scott pastors others toward that end. I'm grateful for Scott's voice in my life and in our culture.
